you have to accept a thing called leave abaitment...means you loose 8 days / year ...but it dont matter cos you get so much time off anyway
this is fine ..fone the detail office at long lartin...& speak to them.....not all jails do permanent thing...but you can always scrounge around staff who don't want to do their nights

don't use chat, not since I found out you can change your ID and become anybody. which in turn required people who knew each other to open private chat and 'prove' you were who you said you were. oh what a laugh

yea, u spend a lot more time with them and build up rapport. we used to nick them, take to custody, possibly see in court and that would be that.

It is different as i guess they know we are there to look after them to an extent and most play by the rules.
i can imagine - they didnt like us turning up and locking them up so keeping them locked up will be interesting!
Good idea the cons are not to keen on the police they settle down with us but are fiery if the police are around!!
So i really dont have to pay attention the the contract saying that what you do in overtime you get back in toil. i was gutted when i read that as would prefer cash to time off!
Sooo much overtime at the moment as we have officers at Newbold and we are down on our numbers anyway what with sickness leave etc etc
i've been in quite a few confrontational roles with the police so know what thats all about..... a huge adrenaline rush
No done some C+R relocations and got kitted up a few times but they have walked on seeing us!!
Yeah no two day's the same and you build up good working relationships with the other officers you boy's will love it too i'm sure.
we have an officer recently joined us from Long Lartin she was an s/o there but is an officer at ours.
applied in oct. RAD in December fitness was the same day. Got the call in feb start may! 7 months in total!
all in all yeah quite lucky i think especially when you hear other people have been waiting for at least 8 months!

I spoke to SS the other day. I have been allocated and there is a vacancy for me, just waiting on vetting so Im currently in the process of chasing them like a madman lol
recently applied for OSG up north got to wait till 30th this month to see the outcome of that as well ....trying to keep my options open
it is strange how they work... on here all you hear about it staff shortages and they dont seem to do anything about it!
your one of the lucky ones then hey....im moaning at 8 months some people have been waiting a year plus
It is quiet out there on all fronts. Was on the tools then went into recruitment.. all construction so you know what that is like at the moment!
