    Hi Lthenewbie :slby:
  • TheCatSun Nov 12, 2017 9:55 am
After a while most move on. All areas have to have right level and not fair if you refusing to move stops otgers getting more experience.
  • CelticbhoySun Nov 12, 2017 9:54 am
Would be worse in an ltp prison as you could technically work with same prisoners for most of your career and there sentence
  • CelticbhoySun Nov 12, 2017 9:53 am
I always thought that but when i mentioned that to my wife she says then surely that leaves you opened for being conditioned.
  • Karen47Sun Nov 12, 2017 9:53 am
But you can say no cat?
  • TheCatSun Nov 12, 2017 9:53 am
We get offered a change every 2 years
  • LthenewbieSun Nov 12, 2017 9:52 am

    Morning gents
  • Karen47Sun Nov 12, 2017 9:50 am
So you get allocated an area and thats where you stay?
  • CelticbhoySun Nov 12, 2017 9:49 am
We are currently changing how we house females so there is a big change happening
  • TheCatSun Nov 12, 2017 9:49 am
Id never do a fem or YO establishment.
  • falkorSun Nov 12, 2017 9:49 am
    :sldv: omg
  • CelticbhoySun Nov 12, 2017 9:48 am
Yeah and it was worst time of my life lol.bad enough being married to one never mind working with a hall full of them
  • CelticbhoySun Nov 12, 2017 9:47 am
Moves are usually only ever by request unless theres a major shortage but tbh i preferred visits more to the halls. Much more interaction in my opinion as our halls arent ever fully opened up here.
  • falkorSun Nov 12, 2017 9:47 am
So you briefly worked in a women's prison Celtic

Yeah will maybe be fine once you get a rapport with them as well. I only done 2 months but bhoy it was tough 2 months. I just felt I knew where I stood with guys and what to expect. I work with a few female officers than moved to my establishment from a female one .
2 months is a good period to look back on do you think you would ever go back to a women's prison?
  • CelticbhoySun Nov 12, 2017 9:45 am
Up here we dont carry any pouches.keys on lanyard in pocket and batton in a custom made pocket in your trousers. Nothing for con to grab
  • Karen47Sun Nov 12, 2017 9:45 am
Do you get moved around the prison much?
  • falkorSun Nov 12, 2017 9:44 am
It's about time we got the money $$$$ it'll cost, but 1 idea in USA is worth copying, THREE STRIKES https://www.facebook.com/threestrikesUK/ we need it
  • Karen47Sun Nov 12, 2017 9:44 am
Normality for some families i guess
  • Karen47Sun Nov 12, 2017 9:43 am
    I thought as much
  • CelticbhoySun Nov 12, 2017 9:43 am
When i worked in visits i always remember an older officer pointing to a con and his visitors saying iv locked the three of them up.it was a grandpa, dad and son
  • TheCatSun Nov 12, 2017 9:42 am
When i said keys in pocket they are still on a chain. I just dont like too many pouches on belt. #RoboScrew
  • CelticbhoySun Nov 12, 2017 9:41 am
No as prison is there way of life now
  • TheCatSun Nov 12, 2017 9:41 am
Tge chances are you will at somepoint get assaulted. All ill say is be aware and dont be a dick. If they want to plan an attack top of the list will be that power hungry officer whos a dick and a bully.
  • falkorSun Nov 12, 2017 9:41 am

Viper are 100% the best but I maybe use one of the pouches. Fish knife and baton get given to you with pouch and I much prefer to keep keys in my pocket.
keys in pocket? unlikely a prisoner can grab the keys from there right? have you used the "fish knife" ? any examples?
