Re: Declining conditional offer

SSCL will simply say you can reapply but there is no guarantee you will get your first choice and could be offered the prison you turned down again

Re: Workbooks

Your tutor will tell you which session relates to which workbook and then when each is due in. You won't be able to do some until later in the course when you have covered that particular session.

Re: Open prison

On POELT you learn all the categories, a new prisoner is very unlikely to go straight into a CAT D. CAT D prisoners are categorized on their escape risk, offence committed is not really taken into account.

CAT D prisoners are those that are trusted and unlikely to escape or those that are given ROTL

Re: Vetting blues

Its a choice you will have to make yourself, a guy on my POELT was removed as his CTC came back unsatisfactory. I would personally wait so you know there are no skeletons but others would go for it

Declare everything, if you don't it looks like you are hiding something. If they discover something you haven't declared you could fail vetting

Re: West London CatB Prison

A little tip. Make sure your conditional offer specifically says the west london prison as if it doesn't you can still be sent to the north london one as its part of a cluster campaign.

Re: Market Force Payments

Didn't get a form that asks to sign for the extra allowance with mine. I was under the impression you get it when you opt in for a 39 or 41 hr contract when you finish POELT

Re: POELT sites

In the South East you also have Belmarsh, Wandsworth and Huntercombe.

You are only offered residential if it is more than an hour to the site from your home. With a number of POELT sites nationwide not being able to drive won't necessarily mean residential

Re: Allocated to a different establishment

You have to be careful as if it is a cluster campaign (Which Belmarsh and Isis is) then withdrawing and reapplying can still see you being assigned the establishment you do not want.
