Need to remember the prison is ours we just let them stay there. So none of this it's there house or own space. You can't go to a hotel and spark up?

I vaguely remember some movie where tons of missing people were returned to the planet including Glen Miller although he was slightly changed and now played reggae

In some YOI they do get gifts, socks or little stocking filler type things. Staff will usually get a longer dinner there will be a little fewer staff on over the whole day because bang up is usually earlier. You will tend to find its harder to bang up the more difficult cons near the end of your day over the festive period.

We're also doing something different again this year for food. Last year I did a tapas which was amazing. This year with be a 3 bird game pie (pheasant, partridge and duck - all shot locally and prepared by yours truly), roast potatoes and parsnips, carrots and peas with a home made stuffing.

Post by YNWA » Mon Sep 25, 2017 8:36 am

Can anyone tell me what the payout for death in service is on the alpha pension please

Just filling out forms and wondering how much it would be and if it should be split up or just nominate one person

Thx

I start on the 2nd too.

I would give them a call, i have had my pension forms for about 3 weeks, opted to look into transferring my military pension and they have sent me a second lot.

Worth calling the civil service pension.

Twice your final salary, or five times the pension you have built up, which ever is the higher.

I got an email 5 days ago with my employee number and it stated I would receive my pension forms shortly. Postman has been today and still no forms.

It's a good job we all want this job so much!

The long process, months of waiting, last minute form filling. It best best be worth it :slyay:

I would give them a call, mine does say you have 12 months to transfer anything over( if you do ) and you will automatically be places onto Alpha unless you state otherwise.

Did you manage to sort your pension out mate? I want to know if I can transfer mine over but I was moved onto the AFPS 15 pension when it changed, not sure if this makes much difference.

Having recently done it you can transfer the AFPS15 over no worries. I got the additional forms, got the chief clerk to look over it and sent them back.
