thanks for advice. My passport has actually run out but I have my driving licence and birth certificate. I will still take my old passport too.

I have read a little about the fitness testy but wasn't sure about the Push/Pull test. Is that push ups and pull ups or is it just a force test.

Don't know why it put guest for last post lol.

Is it worth applying for a private run prison if I don't get in a HMPS prison?

You have your assessment in 2 days and you still do not what the fitness test entails - and you hope to be a prison/custody officer !!! :slhmm: ( clue, check out this web site or you could contact your prospective employer ) You say you are scared about doing the fitness test, what do you think you would feel if you had to say no to a nasty prisoner then?

Is this a wind up question or a genuine one then ? If you are serious then I suggest if you can jog 500-600m's do 20 press up's and 5 or 6 chins and sprint 30m's then you should be fine. If it is a wind up then look forward to going to school next week.

I had my RAD the other day, at least 80% of the people who turned up had no idea what the day would entail at all...

You would have thought that they would have sent or emailed a little info to everyone before hand.

Hello,

I apologise if I'm not posting in the correct section -

My partner has applied to several prison officer positions in different prisons, and has received invitations to Assessment Days from four of them. Are you actually allowed to go to more than one assessment day? I know for the police there is a limit of one application per 6 months, but for this Prison Officer role we couldn't see a limit and the NOMS online system allows you to apply for more than one.

It's to his benefit if you are allowed more than one, because hopefully by the last one (although it might not be exactly the same questions etc every time) he will be getting better at the Assessment Days! But if he goes to the same Assessment Centre they'll start to recognise him won't they?

Some clarification on this issue would be much appreciated.

Thank you.
