Cautions

Post by Tiger » Sun Sep 03, 2017 10:57 pm

I have applied to be a prison officer and I have a caution 2 and a half years ago for assault by pushing my friend. Is this likely to affect my application. I declared it on the online form abs still got to the RAD.

no one knows, it could do but as it has been declared and a relatively silly affair then I doubt it, no charges were brought against you for assault so you should be fine.
Fam visit then POST - 21 June
RAD - 12 July
RAD result - 14 July
Conditional offer - 17 July
Vetting - 18 July
OH Assist - 28 Sept/9 Nov
Waiting the call - 11 Nov :slyay:

I have told shared service and they think I'll be fine. I've passed my rad and have offered to work in any prison in the UK so hopefully they can see I want the job. How long does it take from you passing until you receive a conditional offer? :slbg:

Wow ! Anywhere in the UK !!

So hypertheicly let's say your offered a job 300 miles away from your current location !! Your going to find accommodation and fund the move within the period before you start ?

What is gioing to happen if your offered london ? A single room can cost as much as £630 a month ( price I played a few years back )

But you have had too have applied for an establishment or a cluster so Your application will only be processed as per your application !

Good luck with your application

I've been worrying about a fixed penalty and 3 points on driving licence (well over a decade ago) do you think of I've declared this that I will be ok?

Thank you for the reassurance - Ive worried myself sick because it was so long ago I didn't declare it but then emailed them as soon as I realised! Fingers crossed then - you've given me hope!

Yes the job can involve driving if you work at a cat a establishment or are escorting a prisoner to a funeral ... hospital appointment etc but as long as you have done the right thing you will be fine

I've recently passed my RAD and I'm so nervous for my crb to come back. I had a caution 6 years ago for common assualt ( pushed a girl in a nightclub when I was 18). I hope it doesn't go against me x

If you declare it, it won't. Mine was 2 and a half years ago and it was for the same, pushing someone. I'm looking like I'll pass x
