Investigations

How does one know if they are being investigating? Is it a quick process to find out?

do you mean investigated by the Police? 3 routes to find out
1. attend your local police station and ask
2. if they are not helpful, ask for the postal address of the Police HQ, write an official letter asking
or 3. might be the quickest, phone your local police and ask

a number of people who think they are under investigation get hold of the information this way

I presume you mean how do you find out if you are being vetted? Log in to your steria account and it should say something about pre employment checks if you are being vetted. Or you could call SS and ask.

I think Richard might be talking about serving staff being investigated for excessive use of force, or whatever.

If so, they should be notified in writing about it. Either by letter or via email by the investigating governor. If you're worried about something, make sure to contact a POA rep and see what help they can advise.
No news is good news, so try not to worry too much until you actually hear about anything officially. That's if you are even being investigated at all... :slcu:

Sorry to hijack this thread. I need some advice. I was checking the wrong prisoners on an acct. basically the cell number on the acct front cover related to a different wing. He was transferred over late in the day.

If your been investigated for a use of force related incident do not worry at all providing you’ve done everything right,

I know of a case where a C&R instructor who knew his stuff ended up suspended for use of a baton follow BT a van removal,

Anyways it was referred to the police who literally tore it up but he still remained suspended by the jail for there investigations to complete if they had have got rid of him I’m sure he would have had a massive claim of unfair dismissal,

Getting all worked up on this thread won't help you, we don't know the circumstances so we cannot advise you in anyway.

Be proactive about this and speak to your supervisor or even your custodial manager. Put your mind at rest
