Eye test

Post by Elkins17 » Mon Oct 23, 2017 9:04 am

:slnuts:

Hello!

So what is the minimum required for the eye test?
1) with lenses in both eyes
2) without lenses in both eyes
3) without lenses in each eye

I’ve seen contradicting statements on here (I have used the search item) and just wanted to confirm if I can take the. Tests without my lenses. I have minimum strength on them anyway they’re usually just for screen work/driving. But I do however have a lazy eye 😳.

Any advice welcome!

You take snellen test with AND without lenses.
This is a safety issue.

Yes I can!

Is that all is required? My right eye is at U.K. driving standard I believe.

I failed my first medical due to my prescription being old on my glasses. I passed without them funny enough but not with, went the opticians and went back and passed with flying colours. While I was there someone else failed who worn glasses, and failedwithout them and unfortunately got told they couldn’t carry on the process

If you passed without them, why did you need to go back and have a test with them on?

I have 6/36 and 6/18 nearly 6/12 on my eyes so confident i will pass without them. not been wearing my lenses as much and been wearing a patch over my strong eye to strengthen my other one up :)
