How long have you been in Vetting? There is no one you can contact for an update. SS are the ones who deal with vetting, if you call or email them you will be given a standard response of 'your in the process and we will contact you if we need info'
RAD 13/06. Pass result 14/06 :slyay: . Merit listed 20/06. Applied 2nd establishment 24/06, POST test passed 26/06. Conditional offer 11/07. Vetting starts 12/07. Passed vetting 30/10. Poelt 08/01 :slyay:

:slhehe: Thank you Noggy. A month is early doors, there have been some lucky enough to pass this early, but it's rare. Anything from 4-20 weeks is the norm. Good luck :slbg:

The vetting process is the same, it's all done via UKSV, only the level will be different, standard or enhanced.

I have my SIA which was done this year and my enhanced for work in the Army which was done last year and it took just over 17 weeks for me to clear the vetting train.

I personally see little point in calling them. I've found checking the steria account can give a little insight of where we are up to. For example, mine has changed to "referred for a decision" this weekend. I know it isn't finished because I have not done the health form, but it brings some reassurance that my application is not just sat on a desk somewhere and is actually being looked at.

What you will also find, is that some of the info given isn't accurate anyway. I've read many times people have been told this & that only to discover at a later date it's not the case.
Best bet is to wait, if more info is required they will contact you, I was contacted at week 15 for more info, I submitted the info the very next day, 4 days later I passed vetting. It really is a case of being patient :slbg:

I emailed them to let them know that my reference had changed jobs and therefore had a new work email, a very helpful member of the team replied back to me telling me that they had all the employment history they needed and after looking at my file asked if I had been contacted by OH Assist as that was the only thing outstanding.

I guess it is luck of the draw as when I replied to that email to say yes, I had been in contact, I got a generic, we can't tell you anything email from a not so helpful member of the team.
