How far into the process are you?
When was your RAD and when did you get your results?
Have you had your vetting done yet?
Security checks?

Hi. From past experience, you will need to keep ringing shared services and make sure you're happy with the information they have told you.
It's worth ringing to see where they are up to with your application.
Good luck!

is there any reason why we can't have the number for SS on this thread? does it need to be secret? :slhe:

It's good to get in touch and ask for an update, there's certain,y no harm in doing that.

Not sure if it makes a huge difference to the speed of the process as that is based on many other external factors too. But it doesn't hurt and it's worth keeping in touch in case they have issues obtaining references etc. it's probably a quicker way of finding out and dealing with any hurdles rather than waiting for them to contact you about them.
If there's always biscuits in the biscuit tin, then where's the fun in biscuits? :slwott:

BTW it's also worth calling every couple of weeks to make sure the previous info they gave you is correct, as they do tend to make mistakes here and there :/

Haha cos I went to my RAD and they wouldn't accept one of the documents so they said it's okay take the RAD and then you can send the document to SS. I rang SS and they said no don't they will ask you for it when they vet you. Then it took them 3 weeks to get my results and now can't place me as didn't have the document. But they told me not to send it. So now I've sent it to them as they emailed me saying vetting actions need it and I've heard nothing. They said they contact me they didn't so I rang SS and she gave me the email to send it to and they still haven't said anything so what even is going on x

If you've heard nothing back after sending requested documentation chances are it has been accepted & they need nothing further from you at this time. You will either be merit listed or receive a conditional offer, Merit listed means waiting patiently & a conditional offer means filling in forms on Steria then waiting patiently. Either way, waiting is what you'll be doing, just relax. The recruitment process can take a few weeks or many months. Expect months & anything shorter is a bonus. Good luck :slbg:

I wrote them an email moaning that they hadn’t mirrored my rad results yet yesterday and then got a conditional offer this evening😂 could be a coincidence though
