In some YOI they do get gifts, socks or little stocking filler type things. Staff will usually get a longer dinner there will be a little fewer staff on over the whole day because bang up is usually earlier. You will tend to find its harder to bang up the more difficult cons near the end of your day over the festive period.

I will asked them too because the size chart does not make any sense at all...
The measurements are all out... It says I need a size 18 for a blouse because of the chest measurement - I'm a size 10 in clothes and as flat chested as one can be... :slred: :(

This is a concern of mine - bra's. (my username is my cats name,I am actually a girl!) I would really struggle to run in a normal bra,but never had to buy sports bra's for every day use. Are they comfortable to wear all day long?

I just ordered a size up in everything, I ordered a 12 in blouse & trousers, though I'm a size 10, so hoping it'll be ok :sloo: I bought sports bras from Next & although they look like scaffolding, they are really comfortable :slbg:

I think it would feel 'stuffy' with a vest under, I was going to order some superfine vests, but they all seem to be thermal when they are really thin. Which is a problem as I hate being too hot, and then I don't want something as thick as t shirt material as I think that would be bulky & again probably make you hot and sweaty :slaN: to be honest the sports bras are all industrial size and cover up that area anyway :slbg:

I replied and it vanished!

I certainty don't want to layer up and be too hot but I usually wear vests under things as i feel like it holds everything together a bit better.
I definitely wouldn't need a thermal vest, I'd cook!!

Hahahahaha, how funny!! I can just picture what these sports bra's look like!

M&S do really good sports bras. Get it fitted and it’ll be the most comfortable thing ever. I get the extra high impact. Keeps the girls well strapped in all day. Think they’re about £25 each, but well worth it
I also get simple white vests there too 2 for £7.50 I think. I wear a vest even on the hottest summer days and I’m so used to it now.

I’d rather be a bit hot than take the risk of anything happening. Just imagine being involved in an incident and your shirt getting ripped open... are you happy to be seen by all and sundry to be fancy bra’d and vestless, or still maintaining your dignity? Plus you’ll just have the mick ripped out of you forever by your colleagues... “remember that incident on A3 when So&So’s boobs fell out??”. Personally, I wouldn’t, but I’m at a fairly lively establishment and I know that this would happen to me if I didn’t prepare for it! :slwoot:

The best advice I have been given regarding uniform for us ladies is, wear a white vest, incase you get caught up in an incident and your shirt were to be ripped and make Bridget Jones pants your staple, if your trousers split then you know you are fully covered!! :slhehe:

Since I’m an ex police officer I’ve used men’s shirts. I won’t be able to use them because of the epaulettes needing sliders; I won’t wear a women’s blouse.

I’m large chested but very slim (size 14 top, 6-8 bottom) so I’ll be on men’s shirts - I’ve been told this is ok. It was as an OSG at my last jail. I live in sports bras else I’d get black eyes :slbli:

I will still wear my police issue trouser as they run on waist measurement and they were tailored for me as standard was too big.

I’ve found prison uniform too large so I’d recommend a sizing session :slre:
