five years ago Benchmarking came in which said prisons could run with a lot less staff, VEDS was born and thousands of highly experienced prison officers were paid off handsomely to leave early.
This gave HMP the prisons with a lot less staff that they wanted and since then? Well since then we have RECORD NUMBERS of brand new prison officers with 0 experience whatever. Far better than the hugely experienced prison officers who were paid handsomely to leave.

Hi all
For those attending Sunningdale on 18th Dec, do you have your full uniform? I have placed an order twice now, nothing has arrived so my mentor went to the stores and came back with 1x trousers, i x coat, and 1x pair of shoes!!No blouses, jumpers, fleeces in stock and no sign of any of my orders!!!Anybody else in the same boat?

Hey, I’ve been quite lucky and have all of mine now.
I’m with a lady that has just finished at Sunningdale and she said they do uniform checks most days apparently, so as long as you have at least a shirt, trousers and boots you’ll be okay.
Maybe take your own shirt for the next week and let the trainers know that you haven’t been given a lot of your uniform yet...you’ve done everything you can by the sounds of it!!

Hi Julie, that’s great news, you’ll be fine with what you have now!
I’m going down Monday morning as I don’t have accommodation for the Sunday night.
Just trying to get a suitcase together, been advised to pack as much dry food as poss from the lady who has just come back from there - cuppa soups it is!

No I need to read all the paperwork again and check. I assume we’ll see so many people that we can just follow them in!
Crisps and biscuits are a shout - need to grab some!
Are you going down today or tomorrow?

Hey all,

Yes if you haven't got any shirts then get some!!

Re: where to meet up, follow the path to the bottom of the site, you'll find a long building. Enter via the side (opposite the Hankey Moran building) walk through until you're in a large room. Alternatively, just ask to show you. There are a whole bunch of week 9's at the Albert Day building (the first one you'll come too) so just ask someone from there.

Pm me if you have any further questions as i'll be travelling up tonight also.
