Hi Jem

Pleased I'm not the only one waiting. Hopefully won't be much longer for us all. One thing the prison service has taught me so far is how patient I can be

Hey there, mine goes as follows:

RAD 12th Jan (3 A+, 2 A, 1 B+, 1 B)
Conditional offer received 5th Feb
Start date of 27th March

I've no idea about what stages of vetting happened when and whatnot as I rang Shared Services just the once and they weren't much help at all.

Didn't expect the whole process to be over and done with in less than a month to be honest. Found the whole thing a lot easier than I was anticipating. People were visibly shaking prior to conducting the role play assessments on my RAD, my current employments training is based heavily on role play so it no doubt came a bit more natural to me.

Best of luck to all the fellow new starters.

19th Feb - RAD
20th Feb - RAD passed
10th March - Conditional offer

I completed all the details for the pre employment/vetting checks last night.

Can anyone tell me - how long does it take for this to be completed? And at what point is my employer going to be contacted for a reference? I haven't yet told my boss as they won't be too happy so wasn't going to tell them until I needed to

My vetting was completed in exactly one month. Regarding your boss I would advise you to wait until you get the "call".

Ah okay, thanks, although won't my boss get a refund request before "the call".
The wait is now driving me insane as my brain has decided to hate my current job even more now I know I'll be leaving :slhehe:

3rd Jan complete online assessments
7th Feb attend RAD
8th Feb confirmation of successful RAD
23rd Feb conditional offer (received 30mins after a phone call to SS team asking if they had my results, coincidence?)
24th Feb complete online pre employment checks for vetting

watch this space
update

10th March received 'the call' with conditional contract
17th April start at chosen establishment
5th June start POELT
