Need to remember the prison is ours we just let them stay there. So none of this it's there house or own space. You can't go to a hotel and spark up?

I vaguely remember some movie where tons of missing people were returned to the planet including Glen Miller although he was slightly changed and now played reggae

In some YOI they do get gifts, socks or little stocking filler type things. Staff will usually get a longer dinner there will be a little fewer staff on over the whole day because bang up is usually earlier. You will tend to find its harder to bang up the more difficult cons near the end of your day over the festive period.

We're also doing something different again this year for food. Last year I did a tapas which was amazing. This year with be a 3 bird game pie (pheasant, partridge and duck - all shot locally and prepared by yours truly), roast potatoes and parsnips, carrots and peas with a home made stuffing.

CTC complete outcome?

Post by Porecruit17 » Mon Nov 13, 2017 10:32 pm

I've searched the forum for ages trying to find the answer, I know CTC can take 12-13 weeks.

Mine has changed status from In progress to complete tonight.

I want to know does complete mean successful? Or does it mean someone will be in touch with a decision?

If it was unsuccessful would it say that rather than complete?

Going to make some calls tomorrow, pushing it very fine to hand my notice in to ensure I am all ready for start date

It means you have your CTC.

No it doesn't mean you have been granted CTC clearance.
It means the relevant checks have been completed and your file has been sent to the decision maker, who will in due course let you know.
They will either email saying denied, or email you your security clearance certificate.

In a previous role I was a sponsor for NSV/UKSC.
You are wrong and it does mean you have your CTC. :slcl:

Well I have been told completley different.
But if you worked for them then you know best!
But the prison and SSCL are not giving out that information.

Well fingers crossed they are promt with the decision. I would like to hand my notice in the next week or 2. SSCL and PR told me best people to ask is my VCP at chosen establishment. Its has been In progress for about 6 weeks, but total 9 weeks for CTC as was waiting for sponsor for 3 weeks.

hopefully its good news then!

All I'm trying to do is give advice based on my experience. You can either take it or leave it. But when your in the job, you will need to listen to experience otherwise you could put your colleagues in danger.

Still heard nothing, CTC still says completed! I’m guessing it’s been sent from the 3rd party to SSCL decisions team. Don’t know how long it takes for a decision? Sooner the better as need to hand my notice in. Frustrating.

Atleast I’m at the very end, with start dates and contracts signed!

Still waiting clearance email! Frustrating knowing it’s complete ! Surely a decision hasn’t been made, Apparently they have a back log! You’d think they would take into consideration people have to work notice periods! I’m suppose to start soon and give a 4 week notice
