Need to remember the prison is ours we just let them stay there. So none of this it's there house or own space. You can't go to a hotel and spark up?

I vaguely remember some movie where tons of missing people were returned to the planet including Glen Miller although he was slightly changed and now played reggae

In some YOI they do get gifts, socks or little stocking filler type things. Staff will usually get a longer dinner there will be a little fewer staff on over the whole day because bang up is usually earlier. You will tend to find its harder to bang up the more difficult cons near the end of your day over the festive period.

We're also doing something different again this year for food. Last year I did a tapas which was amazing. This year with be a 3 bird game pie (pheasant, partridge and duck - all shot locally and prepared by yours truly), roast potatoes and parsnips, carrots and peas with a home made stuffing.

Whats the longest you have waited for a conditional offer or to be put on the merit list?

Post by Mccudden » Wed Nov 15, 2017 10:02 am

I may be jumping the gun but I have read of people receiving their RAD results and the following day they have been offered a place or placed on the merit list. I am now on day 2 and I have noting :? and my prison is classed as a RAD site so I thought it may move quickly.

I have been on the merit list since June, but from what I have read you could be on it 1 day or 12 months.

I have not even been put on a Merit list yet, thats why I am slightly confused as others are getting Offers or put on the Merit list already. I'm sat on 1 x B+ and A's and A+ on my RAD, so I cant work out whats happening.

I’m not sure if you get an email saying you’ve been put on the merit list. I just checked my Steria account and I was informed on there. I could be wrong mind. That was in July and I was given an offer end of October. I know of someone on here who waited about 10 month or so

Just checked and my establishment has closed its recruitment campaign down, perhaps this has something to do with it.

I had to wait nearly three weeks after my RAD results to hear anything more at all. No merit list, no conditional offer.

Then I got an email with the conditional offer. Think it’s just a case of waiting bud.

If they’ve filled all the positions and closed recruitment you’ll still get notified and put on merit list.

Sometimes they close the recruitment as they will have a set date on that campaign , then the next day they will start a new one. Aslong as you've already started your application it will carry onto the next campaign. That's what happened with mine
